Russia attacks Selydove seven times, killing one person and injuring seven more
On the night of February 8, Russian troops launched 8 missiles at the town of Selydove, Pokrovsk district, Donetsk region. One of them hit an apartment building, killing 1 person
Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs reported the information.
"According to preliminary information, Russia launched KN 23 and S-300 missiles. As a result of the attack, a 50-year-old woman was killed, rescuers recovered her body from under the rubble," the statement said.
"Seven people were injured. Among them is a boy who is to turn 7 tomorrow, as well as two men aged 18 and 51, and four women aged 38, 42, 64, 88," the press service added.
The statement noted that the attack damaged 53 apartment buildings and 10 private houses, 4 educational institutions, 2 administrative buildings, a private enterprise, and 24 vehicles.
Earlier, the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin, reported the attack.
"At least 1 person was killed and 7 wounded as a result of night shelling of Selydove. Among the wounded is a child born in 2017," the statement says.
It is noted that the attacks damaged 7 high-rise buildings, 3 private houses, 3 educational institutions, and an administrative building. In addition, 8 cars were damaged.
The State Emergency Service rescued 2 people from the rubble of a partially destroyed 3-story residential building. Rescuers also pulled out a woman born in 1935 from the rubble of a private house.
"The body of a deceased woman born in 1973 was removed from the rubble of the building," the rescuers added.
