Russia attacks Nikopol district with various types of weapons, killing 16-year-old girl
On September 9, Russia attacked the Nikopol district of the Dnipropetrovsk region with artillery and 'kamikaze' drones
Mykola Lukashuk, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, said this in the evening report.
"In total, there were about a dozen attacks in the district during the day, the invaders used artillery, 'kamikaze' drones and dropped ammunition from drones. They were targeting the district center, Marhanets, Myrivka, and Pokrovsk communities," he wrote.
"12 private houses, an enterprise, 8 outbuildings, infrastructure, garages, cars, and a power line were damaged," the official added.
Earlier, the death of the girl was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Lysak.
"A 16-year-old girl was killed in Nikopol by Russian shelling. Rescuers pulled her out from under the rubble of a damaged house. Unfortunately, she sustained injuries incompatible with life," he said.
In addition, three people were injured as a result of the Russian attack - they sustained shrapnel wounds. A 79-year-old man was hospitalized in moderate condition.
A 74-year-old local resident and a 66-year-old woman were treated on the spot and refused hospitalization.
