Russia attacks Kherson, wounding 102-year-old woman
On June 10, the Russian army shelled Kherson and hit a residential building. A 102-year-old woman sustained blast trauma and shrapnel wounds as a result of the attack
Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, and Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs reported this.
According to the head of the region, the strike hit the Dniprovskyi district of the city. The injured woman is in a hospital in moderate condition.
"As a result of the shelling, a 102-year-old woman sustained an explosive injury. She is currently in hospital with an explosive injury, shrapnel wounds to her torso and limbs. Doctors assess the victim's condition as moderate. She is being provided with the necessary medical care," Prokudin wrote.
The Interior Ministry reported that the Russians struck again when law enforcement officers arrived at the scene.
"The patrol policemen immediately went to help, and then the invaders struck again. Together with local residents, law enforcement officers managed to transport the injured woman to a police car and take her to the hospital. She is currently receiving the necessary medical care," the statement says.
