
European parliamentary delegates gather in Kyiv in show of support and solidarity
On Monday, March 31, speakers and deputy speakers of parliaments from 17 European countries, along with representatives of the European Parliament, arrived in Kyiv
This was announced by the Chairman of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk.
Speakers and vice-speakers of the parliaments of Belgium, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Spain, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Finland, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Sweden, and representatives of the European Parliament arrived in Kyiv today.
“This visit is a strong symbol of support, solidarity, and trust. I am grateful to my colleagues for their willingness to stand with Ukraine. We appreciate every gesture, every meeting, every word, and every action that brings victory, justice, and lasting peace closer. Ukraine feels the support of its partners. And that is inspiring,” Stefanchuk said.
Among others, the President of the Assembly of Portugal, José Pedro Aguiar-Branco, arrived in the Ukrainian capital. According to Público, he will take part in the ceremony marking the third anniversary of the mass killings in Bucha.
After the ceremony, he will attend the summit of parliamentary speakers in Kyiv, and later meet with President Zelenskyy and Verkhovna Rada Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk.
- On March 30, Mark Burns, the personal spiritual advisor to U.S. President Donald Trump, arrived in Ukraine. During his visit, he visited the de-occupied Kyiv region.
