No intact houses, shelters left in Toretsk, Russian forces move into new areas
There are no houses or shelters left in Toretsk for civilians or military, which is allowing Russian forces to capture new areas
Anastasiia Bobovnikova, the spokeswoman for the Luhansk troops grouping, said this during the telethon.
"The situation is changing rapidly. Unfortunately, the enemy continues to attack our positions, and there are no intact houses left in Toretsk. The city now looks like a desert: there are no shelters for civilians or military, which makes it easier for the enemy to occupy new areas on this already devastated land," she said.
Bobovnikova noted that Russians are disguising themselves as civilians to reach Ukrainian positions, a tactic common in urban areas, including around Chasiv Yar.
She added that Russians forces are suffering heavy losses in Toretsk, but their leadership is "promising them mountains of gold."
"They are increasing payments for the deceased. Sadly, ordinary Russian soldiers are falling for this and happily signing contracts to die in Ukraine," the spokeswoman said.
