This was announced by the head of the Regional Military Administration, Artem Lysohor.
The State Ecological Inspectorate of Luhansk Region reports air pollution caused by Russian occupation, citing forest destruction from fires in the area.
According to Lysohor, large-scale fires in July affected over 4,500 hectares in two forest areas and more than 870 hectares in the Sievierodonetsk district. These fires released over 3.6 million tons of pollutants into the air, causing environmental damage estimated at over UAH 36.5 billion.

Russians took Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied Kreminna district, Luhansk region, to a military-patriotic camp in Russia, citing forest fires in the area as the reason.
