The European Union's Ambassador to Ukraine has condemned the recent Russian missile attack on Sumy, calling it yet another war crime in a series of brutal assaults against civilian targets

The attack, which occurred early this morning, involved two ballistic missiles hitting the heart of the city, just as churchgoers were gathering for the Palm Sunday mass.

In a statement posted on X, the Ambassador described the attack as "horrific," emphasizing the timing of the assault and the devastation it caused to the local community.

"Two ballistic missiles hit the center of the city. Just as churchgoers gathered for the Palm Sunday mass! Another in a series of war crimes!" the Ambassador wrote, condemning the attack and offering her condolences to the victims.
