Russian troops suffer up to 95% of losses in assaults - National Guard Major Nahornyi
National Guard Major Denys Nahornyi, says that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are actively repelling assaults. Russia abandons its own wounded during the retreat and replenishes the units with convicts and recruits
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"Russians continue to conduct active assault operations on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. In particular, they are using recruit units, Akhmat special forces, Storm-Z (unit formed with convicts - ed.). They are trying to gain a foothold in our positions, we are actively repelling these assaults," the military said.
According to Nahornyi, Russian troops suffer up to 95% of losses, leaving their own wounded to fend for themselves during the retreat.
"At the same time, the enemy is actively replenishing its units, in particular from a number of convicts and recruits. That is, active mobilization has begun in Russia, and the enemy is recruiting personnel to continue the assaults. 60% of such units are untrained people, without basic training, the so-called ‘cannon fodder,’ and 40% of Russians are directly trained for assault operations," emphasized the Chief of Staff of the Artillery of the 4th Rubizh Brigade.
- The Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated 1,140 Russian soldiers, 15 tanks and 32 artillery systems over the last day.
- Analysts of the Institute for the Study of War say that Ukrainian defenders continue to hold the line and advance near Bakhmut. Instead, Russian troops are advancing along the Kupyansk-Svatove-Kreminna line.
