Russian troops shell 2 settlements in Donetsk region: 1 woman killed, 4 injured
On Wednesday, September 6, Russian troops attacked the town of Siversk and the village of Velyka Novosilka with MLRS and artillery. The attacks killed a woman and wounded 4 more people
Ukraine’s Office of the Prosecutor General reported the information.
It noted that on September 6 at 3:00 pm, Russian troops fired at the city of Siversk, most likely with MLRS. A local resident was killed by a shell explosion, and three more people - two men aged 42 and 60 and a 73-year-old woman - were injured by shrapnel.
In addition, at 6:40 pm, Russian troops attacked the village of Velyka Novosilka. As a result of the shelling, an 81-year-old woman sustained shrapnel wounds. According to preliminary data, Russia shelled the settlement with artillery.
"Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, pre-trial investigations have been initiated in criminal proceedings over violations of the laws and customs of war (parts 1, 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the prosecutor's office added.
