Russian troops prepare for street fighting in Melitopol

This was reported on Telegram by the Mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov.

"Occupiers, what are you preparing for?

For the second day in a row, in the very center of the temporary occupied Melitopol, Russian soldiers are placing concrete cones."

According to him, Russian soldiers are preparing for street battles.

"In their best traditions, Russian "dragon's teeth" are placed close to civilians, i.e.in the middle of central streets and residential areas.

But the experience of other de-occupied Ukrainian cities shows Russian forces that their concrete "Legos" will not help them.  Rather, they will prevent the occupiers from fleeing faster from Ukrainian land," the mayor continued.

• Oleh Buryak, head of the Zaporizhia District Military Administration, also noted that the detonation of the bridge, which took place on December 12, near Melitopol, disrupted Russian logistics route from Rostov.
