Russian troops fret over where Ukrainian forces will use reserves – military expert Selezniov
Military expert, spokesman for the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff, Vladyslav Selezniov believes that by intensifying activities in the Kupyansk sector, Russian enemy is trying to draw the focus of the Ukrainian army from the south
He shared his opinion with the Espreso TV channel.
"Experts involved in the activities of the Ukrainian General Staff claim that Ukraine has not yet deployed all 100% of its strategic reserves, which were prepared to implement our plans for a counter-offensive. This is what makes the aggressor nervous. Because the Russian forces still do not know where and when these reserves will be used. It is not for nothing that the occupiers have intensified their activities in the Kupyansk sector. In this way, they are trying to shift the focus of the Ukrainian General Staff from the situation in the south to the situation in the Kupyansk sector," explained Selezniov.
According to him, the situation in the Kupyansk sector is stable, but tends to escalate.
"Units of the 4th Guards Tank Division are pushing to our lines and positions, trying to transform their overwhelming numbers into some kind of territorial gains. Although they are not particularly successful. They have managed to advance in some areas of the frontline, but they still need to gain a foothold on these lines. The Russian forces have not done so. Therefore, the Defence Forces drove the Russian invaders out of those territories and the situation is now stable, but tends to escalate," noted Selezniov.
