Russian troops daily lose significant forces in eastern Ukraine

“For the Russian enemy, the priority remains the offensive in the Bakhmut direction, the city of Bakhmut and nearby settlements. The Russian forces are trying to improve their tactical position in the Kupiansk, Lyman and Avdiivka directions,” Cherevatyi said.

According to the spokesman of the Eastern Grouping of Forces, the Russians concentrated the largest number of personnel in the Bakhmut direction.

“During the day, the Russian enemy launched 224 attacks by various artillery systems and tanks, and 34 battles took place. The Russian troops lost 213 soldiers killed and 87 wounded. The enemy does not manage to break through the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense. The enemy loses significant forces in the east every day - fuel and lubricants, artillery depots, equipment and personnel,” Cherevatyi added.
