The Southern Ukrainian Defense Forces confirmed the information on Telegram.

The post states that Russian forces attacked at almost midnight, using tactical aircraft over the Black Sea. They fired 2 missiles, presumably Kh-35/Kh-59, in the direction of one of the ports. Air defense forces destroyed the missiles.

"The second attack took place a few hours later. This time, the enemy launched 2 Kalibr missiles from the Sea of Azov towards the regional center. And here the air defense forces did an excellent job: both missiles were destroyed," the post reads.

Earlier, the head of the Public Council at the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Bratchuk, reported the information on Telegram.

He said that late in the evening, Russian forces struck near Chornomorsk with two missiles, preliminary of the Kh-35/59 type. Thanks to the coordinated work of Ukrainian air defense forces, both air targets were destroyed.

Another attack in the Odesa region was registered around 03:44 a.m. This time, Russian forces tried to attack the region with Kalibr missiles. According to preliminary data, all the missiles were shot down.

At 04:00, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, addressed the residents of the region and asked them to stay in shelters until the air raid alarm was canceled.

"The whole region, stay in shelters until the air raid alarm is canceled, a missile threat has been detected. Do not film the work of air defense, do not help the enemy!" he wrote.
