Russian troops assault Avdiivka nonstop - Ukrainian Armed Forces fighter Voitko

"We are performing tasks in the Avdiivka direction. The situation is difficult, the enemy is attacking. There are counterattacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces that are successful, but the enemy has a lot of manpower and equipment concentrated in the Avdiivka direction. The enemy is trying to surround the city from the south and north. In the south, Russian occupiers are trying to advance from Vodiane and Opytne, in the north from Krasnohorivka. But Russian occupiers are still very far from encircling Avdiivka," emphasized Voitko. 

According to the serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Ukrainian units are holding their positions and inflicting significant losses on Russian forces.

"In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy is using similar tactics to those they used in Bakhmut - almost nonstop assaults. The enemy is losing a lot of manpower. Tough and intense fighting continues near Avdiivka," emphasized Voitko. 

• On April 10, the Ukrainian General Staff reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down 6 drones and repelled almost 60 Russian attacks, with the fiercest battles taking place for Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka.

• The Russian army loses up to 2 companies of personnel daily in the area of Marinka and Avdiivka.
