Russian shelling of Odesa port signals that Kremlin will demand more concessions - Klimkin
The former head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pavlo Klimkin, has called Russia's shelling of the Odesa port a signal that the Russian Federation will create new threats, demanding the lifting of sanctions
He made the statement on Facebook.
According to Pavlo Klimkin, many consider the Russian attack on the Odesa port on the second day after the signing of the grain export agreement to be illogical.
"On the contrary, this is the logic of the Kremlin. They send a signal: everything depends on the "good will" of Russia, the continuation of exports requires further concessions and steps towards the Kremlin. They will blackmail with the need to lift more and more sanctions, creating new security threats. Having received something, the Kremlin instantly forgets about it and starts to demand more," he emphasized.
The former minister added that this is a signal not only to Ukraine, but also to the West and Turkey. Pavlo Klimkin noted that it is crucial to respond to such actions together.
