Russian shelling de-energizes mine in Donetsk region, leaves people without electricity in 6 areas
People in 6 Ukrainian regions are without electricity due to Russian shelling. In particular, a mine and 12 settlements in the Donetsk region are without power
This is reported by the Ministry of Energy's press service.
"Enemy terror continues in the regions near the frontline and bordering Russia. In the Donetsk region, two 330 kV overhead lines were damaged by shelling, which resulted in the unloading of thermal power plants and the de-energizing of one of the mines. Also, due to damage to the lines as a result of enemy shelling, 12 settlements with 14,000 registered consumers were cut off from electricity supply," the statement says.
Some consumers in the Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kherson, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions also remain without power.
The agency noted that repair crews are working where it is safe to do so.
In addition, a large-scale campaign to repair equipment damaged by Russian shelling at thermal power plants and hydroelectric power plants is underway across the country.
