Russian representative at UN claims rocket attack on Vinnytsia center to be 'strike on military object'

Yevheniy Varganov, senior advisor of the Russian post-delegation to the UN, made such a statement, Meduza informs.

"Russia strikes only at military facilities in Ukraine. The strike in Vinnytsia was struck at the Officers' House, where the armed forces of Ukraine were training," said the official Russian representative.

Varganov also added that the Ukrainian military itself attacks civilians, citing as an example the recent attack on Nova Kakhovka, as a result of which "their own [Ukrainian] civilians died."

Varganov became the first official representative of the Russian authorities to comment on the attack on Vinnytsia.

The Officers' House in Vinnytsia is used as a concert hall and cultural center. Numerous specialized sites sold tickets for events planned there. Oleg Skrypka and the Lviv singer ROXOLANA announced about the concerts and rehearsals in it, which were to take place today.
