Russian mass media RIA Novosti with reference to "sources" reports.

According to the propagandists, specialists of Ukrainian company "Pivdenmash" have prepared a mock-up of the Iskander complex missile, they "plan" to fill it with radioactive material, and then allegedly shoot it down over the exclusion zone of Chornobyl nuclear power plant by Ukrainian air defense forces and announce the launch of a nuclear charge by Russian Armed Forces.

Then Kyiv authorities, according to Russian mass media, allegedly intend to show Western and Ukrainian media fragments of the layout and electronic elements of the alleged Iskander missile in order to convince Western public that Russia is to blame.

However, RIA Novosti does not provide any evidence of this.

Russian state agency RIA Novosti was the first to tell the world that "Kyiv regime" was allegedly preparing a provocation with a "dirty bomb". With a bomb that also contains radioactive materials. Their entire text was based on "anonymous sources familiar with the situation", including allegedly in other countries.

  • Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu held at least four telephone conversations with colleagues from other countries (including Great Britain and the USA). He claims that Ukraine is preparing a "dirty bomb" attack on its territory in order to blame it on Russia. The head of Russian Armed Forces General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, also began to inform his colleagues about the Ukrainian "nuclear bomb" by phone.

  • Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the United States, Great Britain and France stated they reject blatantly false Russian statements of Minister Sergey Shoigu in this regard.

  • Western analysts believe that in this way Minister Sergey Shoigu tried to frighten and slow down or suspend military aid to Ukraine.

  • According to military experts, sanctions against Rosatom could stop Russia's nuclear blackmail. Russian opposition leader Khodorkovskyi suggested that Russian Ministry of Defense was scared, because the Wagner or Kadyrov mercenaries could be behind the creation of a "dirty bomb".  They could steal spent nuclear fuel from Zaporizhzhia NPP.
