The enemy propaganda says that the video has now been allegedly removed because Kyiv is "carefully trying to hide the truth."
"The information that Kyivstar is calling for SMS messages to be sent to the numbers of the fallen soldiers is false, fabricated and obviously aimed at deliberately causing suffering to the relatives of the victims and causing a public outcry. We appeal to everyone to stop spreading this fake information. Kyivstar is filing a statement with law enforcement agencies to find out who is behind this immoral campaign and bring those responsible to justice," Kyivstar said in a statement denying the fake news.
The Center for Strategic Communications reminds that some world media continue to "count" and manipulate the topic of losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Recently, The New York Times stated that the total number of killed and wounded soldiers since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion has amounted to almost half a million people. Of these, Ukrainian losses are allegedly about 70,000 killed and 100,000-120,000 wounded.
In response, Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, said in an interview with Welt: "Our army was not so big as to talk about the losses of 70,000 soldiers. It is not clear why journalists are spreading such disinformation about our losses," Danilov added.
