Russian occupiers will no longer be able to repair Antonivskyi Bridge - Kherson Regional Council member
On August 22, Ukrainian Armed Forces hit the Antonivskyi bridge, and a column of smoke was seen. It is reported that the occupying forces will no longer be able to repair Antonivskyi Bridge.
Deputy of the Kherson Regional Council Serhii Khlan reported this later.
"Witnesses say that it is possible that the bridge has actually collapsed. Today, there is no passage and no possibility to repair it," Khlan said.
The deputy claims that the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit the Antonivskyi bridge exactly when a convoy of Russian vehicles, approximately 10 vehicles with ammunition, was moving along it. Detonation started from the explosion.
The explosions were so powerful that fragments of the concrete pavement flew all the way to Antonivka, on the right bank of the Dnieper near Kherson.
Currently, Russians still use, but to a limited extent, the bridge at Kakhovskaya HPP and use pontoons near Antonivskyi: "It cannot meet the need for BC, which is needed by Russian occupiers on the right bank and on the front line."
