Russian occupiers loot in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions stealing vehicles, office equipment, and other property
Cases of looting and theft by Russian servicemen have significantly increased in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions
This was reported by Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar.
“The number of looting and theft cases committed by Russian servicemen in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhia and Kherson regions has significantly increased since the beginning of May, particularly on holidays and weekends declared by the occupiers,” she said.
The occupiers are mainly stealing property and vehicles, citing the alleged need to evacuate the population. They have stolen material values from local businesses and citizens in settlements such as Tokmak, Polohy, Kamianka, Rozivka, Mykhailivka, Molochansk, Enerhodar, and Chernihivka, under the guise of providing evacuation measures.
In Enerhodar, Russians stole approximately 20 cars from the private enterprise "Elektropivdenmontazh-10" and ransacked the warehouse during the night.
“The occupiers hastily removed looted office equipment and other property, claiming to evacuate the Russian occupation administration from the Skadovsk settlement in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region during the night,” Maliar said.
Maliar also suggested that the Russian occupiers could use the cargo ship, which arrived at the port of Berdyansk on May 7, to transport stolen goods to the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea.
