Russian occupiers in Luhansk region urge local organizations and enterprises to report on passportization of population - General Staff

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces informs.

It is noted that the forced passportization of Ukrainian citizens continues in the Stanytsia-Luhanska district of Luhansk region. Thus, the occupation administration issued an order according to which the heads of local enterprises and organizations must provide information on the measures taken to passport the local population.

Over the past day, Russia launched 24 drones into Ukraine, carried out 75 air strikes and 65 attacks with multiple rocket launchers at the positions of Ukrainian troops

Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army launched 24 Iran-made Shahed attack drones at Ukraine. 18 of them were destroyed.

The Russian forces also launched 10 missile strikes on Kramatorsk and Zaporizhzhia, carried out 75 air strikes and 65 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of Ukrainian defenders and on populated areas. The hostile attacks resulted in civilian casualties, destruction and damage to private residential buildings, educational institutions, kindergartens and other civilian infrastructure.

Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 4 Lancet loitering munitions and hit 8 areas of Russian troops concentration

Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out six strikes on the areas of Russia's personnel concentration. Also, 4 Lancet loitering munitions were destroyed.

In addition, missile and artillery units struck a Russian command post, 8 areas of concentration of invaders' manpower, two ammunition depots and an electronic warfare station over the past day.

Situation in the following directions

The occupying Russian forces are conducting offensive actions in the Lyman, Bakhmut and Marinka directions. The Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled about 60 attacks there.

The operational situation in the northern and northwestern Ukrainian border has not changed significantly. No signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.

In the northern and north-eastern part of Ukraine, the Russian invaders fired at 5 settlements in Chernihiv region, 13 in Sumy region, and 13 in Kharkiv region over the past day.

In the Kupyansk sector, the Russian army fired artillery and mortars at 10 localities in the Kharkiv region. They did not conduct any offensive actions.

In the Lyman direction, 8 localities in the Luhansk region and 5 in Donetsk region suffered from artillery shelling. The Russian troops unsuccessfully attacked in the area of Bilohorivka and the southwestern outskirts of Spirne.

In the Bakhmut direction, the invading troops were firing at 13 localities in the Donetsk region. Over the last day, they conducted unsuccessful offensives in the direction of Bohdanivka and Markove.

In the Avdiivka direction, 4 localities in the Donetsk region came under fire.The enemy did not conduct any offensive actions.

In the Marinka direction, 3 localities in the Donetsk region were subjected to hostile attacks. The adversary is trying to improve its tactical position. Numerous attacks in Marinka were repelled over the last day.

In the Vuhledar direction, the Russian forces did not launch any offensives yesterday. They shelled 4 localities in the Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the Russian army is on the defensive. They attacked 55 localities, including 3 in Donetsk region; 5 in Zaporizhzhia region; 1 in Dnipro region; 5 in Kherson region and the city of Kherson.

• On the night of May 5, Russian troops shelled Nikopol with artillery, damaging houses and outbuildings, no casualties were reported.
