Russian occupiers demand that residents of Kherson leave city immediately
On Saturday October 22 Russian occupation authorities in the Ukrainian city of Kherson told civilians to urgently leave. It must be done by the end of the day, Russian occupiers say
Given the damage to the Antonivsky bridge connecting Kherson with Oleshki, it is possible to leave the city by water. Such an appeal is posted on the Telegram channel of the so-called Russian "administration" of the occupied part of the Kherson region.
"Residents of Kherson and all units and ministries of the civil administration should cross over to the left bank of the Dnipro today," the Russian invaders say.
"The tense situation at the front, the increased danger of massive shelling of the city and the threat of terrorist attacks" were named the reasons for such an appeal.

As of October 22, Kherson remains the only Ukrainian regional center taken under Russian control after the full-scale invasion on February 24.
The city is located on the right bank of the Dnipro, where defenders of Ukraine are conducting active offensive actions. At the same time, an increasingly large part of the Russian army is surrounded or neutralized there.
Oleshki, through which the occupiers and collaborators are trying to escape, are on the left bank of the Dnipro..
The left-bank part of the Kherson region is still under the complete control of the Russian invaders.
Political scientists underline that the loss of Kherson - following the loss of the Kharkiv region and the inability of the Russian military to capture Kyiv and such regional centers as Chernihiv and Sumy at the beginning of the year - will mean a fiasco for Putin.
After Kherson, the Ukrainian army will open its way to the illegally annexed Crimea.
