Russian occupation authorities of Kherson region, terrorist "LPR", "DPR" decide to hold "referendums on joining Russia"
The "Public Council" of the Russian-occupied Kherson region has decided to hold a "referendum on joining the Russian Federation." The terrorist organizations "LPR" and "DPR" have also announced the decision to hold a pseudo-referendum.
Representatives of the occupation authorities and Russian propagandist media wrote about this on Telegram channels.
Volodymyr Saldo, the "Chairman" of the Russian-occupied Kherson region, said that the "referendum" will be held through the "initiative of the residents of the region." According to the collaborator, he hopes that "the Kherson region will become part of Russia and a full-fledged subject of a unified state."
Saldo also stated that he "considers it necessary to create and form voluntary battalions in the territory of the region to participate in the war with Ukraine."
According to him, joining the Russian Federation "will secure the Kherson region" and become "a celebration of historical justice." He calls Putin directly the guarantor of "security and prosperity".
The so-called people's councils of the "LPR" and "DPR" also adopted a "law" on holding a pseudo-referendum, signed by collaborators Leonid Pasechnik and Denis Pushilin. Referendums will be held from September 23 to 27.
