Russian MoD's TV channel confirms two colonels are killed near Bakhmut
In the battles on the southwestern outskirts of Bakhmut on May 13, 2023, Ukraine's Armed Forces did kill Russian colonels Vyacheslav Makarov and Yevgeny Brovko
This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry's Zvezda TV channel.
“The commander of the 4th Motorized Rifle Brigade, Vyacheslav Makarov, personally led the battle,” the propagandists' Telegram channel reported.
As noted, after the third consecutive Ukrainian attack, Makarov was wounded and died during the evacuation.
The deputy commander of the Russian army corps for military and political work, Colonel Yevgeny Brovko, received multiple fragmentary wounds that were incompatible with life.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry's Zvezda TV channel, the events described above took place south of the village of Krasne in the 'DPR'.
We are talking about the village of Ivanivske, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region (before decommunization - Krasne), southwest of Bakhmut. The occupying Russian forces still call it Krasne.
Klishchiivka is located nearby. Ukrainian defenders reported losses among the Russian command near Klishchiivka on May 13. It was about the defeat of the Russian command post.

Ukrainian Armed Forces spokesman Anatolii Shtefan said that several Russian colonels had been killed near Klishchiivka. He mentioned their names, positions, and affiliation with the command of the Russian 4th Detached Mechanized Brigade.
