Russian missile strike on Odesa hits infrastructure, Church, killing and injuring civilians
A Russian missile strike on Odesa region hit the city's infrastructure.
Odesa City Council and the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Maxim Marchenko posted on Telegram about the strike, citing official data from Ukraine’s South Operational Command and noting that there had been casualties as a result of the attack.
“The occupiers fired a missile at one of Odesa's infrastructure facilities. Unfortunately, there are dead and wounded,” Marchenko said.
The City Council noted the missile strike hit the city infrastructure of Odesa.
“Another missile strike was launched on Odesa region. There are hits in the city infrastructure of Odesa, in particular, a place of worship was damaged,” the City Council said.
Serhiy Bratchuk, a spokesman for the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, also confirmed the information about the damage.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleksiy Danilov, further confirmed that a Russian rocket had hit the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
“The roof of the church of the Moscow Patriarchate was demolished,” he said.
