Russian missile crashes in Volgograd region of Russia - local media

This is reported by Russian media.

"Unidentified flying, presumably military objects fell in the Rudnyansky district of the Volgograd region. Huge grey debris was found by residents of the Ilmensky rural settlement about 20 kilometres from the village."

According to the information, emergency services are already at the scene and have surrounded the wreckage.

Visually, the debris resembles parts of a long-range cruise missile from the Kh-101 / Kh-102 family - AS-23 KODIAK. They entered service with the Russian Armed Forces in 2012, and were first used in Syria in 2015.

On December 16 it was reported that the wreckage of a Russian missile fell in the Yelansky district of the Volgograd region in Russia.
