
Russian glide bomb attack hits Ukrainian village in Zaporizhzhia, killing civilians
On the morning of May 29, the Russian forces carried out an airstrike on the village of Verkhnia Tersa in the Zaporizhzhia region using guided aerial bombs (KABs). As a result of the attack, two people were killed and several others were wounded
Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported the information.
“At dawn, the Russian aggressors attacked the village of Verkhnia Tersa with guided bombs,” the official wrote.
According to Ivan Fedorov, at least five bombs were dropped on private homes. The attack destroyed and damaged several houses, and some people were trapped under the rubble.
According to the latest information, two men have been confirmed dead. Three other individuals — two women and one man — required medical assistance.
Later, Fedorov said that one person was killed and another was injured in the attack.
By 10:28 a.m., Fedorov reported that Russian guided bombs had completely destroyed five houses and damaged 50 more. One of the houses caught fire.
He also said that damage to power lines cut off electricity for 600 people in eight villages in two communities of the region.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region told Espreso that during search and rescue operations, emergency workers pulled a man from beneath the rubble of a destroyed building and handed him over to medics. Unfortunately, he later died from injuries incompatible with life. Another person was injured in the incident.
The head of the Regional Military Administration reported that, in total, Russian troops carried out 397 strikes on 10 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region during the day. A 49-year-old man was injured in an attack in the Polohy district.
There were also 9 reports of damage to apartments, private homes, and cars.
