Russian generals may send Prigozhin to frontline and kill, but blame Ukraine - Feygin
Russian opposition politician and former State Duma deputy Mark Feigin believes that Russian generals are planning to neutralize Prigozhin
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"Prigozhin may be sent to the frontline and killed there, and it will be blamed on Ukraine. It would be easy to relate Prigozhin's murder to the others: he arrived at the frontline and was hit by missiles. And perhaps this fake story with Delimkhanov serves as a trial run. We can see that there are several generals in Prigozhin's sphere of influence - Surovikin, with whom he has a complimentary relationship, Mizintsev, who came to work for him leaving the post of Deputy Defense Minister for Supply and Logistics, and several other names. So there was some kind of group around Prigozhin. I think financial and other interests are at play in this situation," Feygin emphasized.
According to the opposition politician, Prigozhin's decision to withdraw his units from Bakhmut for reorganization indicates that he is losing influence.
"The peculiarity of the Russian apparatus is that when a person becomes 'radioactive', he or she 'emanates', and everyone instantly runs away from him or her. Prigozhin is already approaching this state. He has a lot of conflicts, he has a lot of enemies, and friends are not a stable component in this system of relationships. If the command and generals have reached an agreement with Putin to dismiss him, no one will come to Prigozhin's defense. No one will rush to defend Prigozhin; he has fulfilled his function. Little is expected of him anymore, since it is forbidden to take prisoners. He is already withdrawing his units from the frontline, from important areas, from Bakhmut, probably for reorganization, because there is little left that is combat-ready. Therefore, I believe that this is an indication that Prigozhin is out of the game," Feygin added.
