Russian Foreign Ministry names conditions for ending war against Ukraine

To end the war, Russia demands to stop supplying Western weapons, recognize the temporarily occupied territories as Russian and confirm Ukraine's non-aligned status

This is said in a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"A comprehensive, just and sustainable settlement of the 'conflict' is possible only through the cessation of hostilities and the supply of Western weapons, the recognition of new territorial realities, the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, and the confirmation of its neutral and non-aligned status," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Moscow is also demanding the lifting of sanctions, the withdrawal of lawsuits against Russia, and the restoration of the Russian language status.

"Unfortunately, the Western countries that claim to be mediators do not offer anything like this," the Foreign Ministry noted and said it opposed mediation in the settlement by the United States, Britain, France, and Germany.

"All four of these countries are themselves parties to the ongoing 'conflict' with Russia on the territory of Ukraine. They have imposed illegal sanctions against Russia, blocked its foreign assets, and demanded the creation of a tribunal to punish the Russian leadership. These countries support Zelenskyy's 'pseudo-peace' initiatives, which are detached from reality," the Russian Foreign Ministry explained.
