Russia lists conditions for "peace negotiations" with Ukraine
In Russia, amid the lack of success at the front, a large-scale AFU counteroffensive threat and the unbending position of the West, Russia starts talking about "peace" with Ukraine
The vision of the "peace process" was presented to the TASS agency by the Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mykhail Galuzin.
He noted that negotiations can take place if Western countries and the authorities in Kyiv lay down their arms and stop "shelling Russian cities".
According to him, "the supply of weapons by Western countries to the Kyiv regime will inevitably lead to an escalation of the conflict."
Galuzin emphasizes that Russia is ready to follow a political and diplomatic path to "achieve the goals of a special military operation in Ukraine."
But he blames the West, which takes every opportunity to make the war in Ukraine "as bloody as possible and prevent negotiations on a peaceful settlement."
At the same time, Russia's permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, speaking at a special session of the UN General Assembly regarding Ukraine, said that negotiations on the settlement of the "Ukrainian crisis" should be conducted with Washington, not with Kyiv, and Moscow is ready to find a "diplomatic solution."
