Russian forces take revenge for successful usage of Vega launch vehicle, with an attack on Pivdenmash in Dnipro - regional council deputy

He told Espreso about this.

"The blows were inflicted not just on the enterprise, but specifically on Pivdenmash, which is a part of my heart as well. It was impossible to watch this without pain, without grief, three people died. The thing is that this is a densely populated microdistrict and there are residential buildings nearby,  which were damaged," said the deputy of the regional council.

Maksym Kuryachy added that these houses are inhabited by Pivdenmash workers, among whom there are many pensioners.

"I would like to note that almost 2-3 days ago there was a very successful launch of the Vega launch vehicle, which is manufactured under the patronage and at the initiative of the European Space Agency. Our Pivdenmash and KB Pivdenne participated in the production of this launch vehicle, the fourth stage of which, namely, the engine, was manufactured in Pivdenmash. A very successful launch was carried out and the payload was launched into orbit, it was about satellites," the deputy noted.

Kuryachy noted that Russian forces did not like such successes of Ukraine and decided to take revenge. It is also known to the whole world that Pivdenmash was once the missile shield of the Soviet Union.
