Russian forces suffer heavy personnel losses near Avdiivka, Mariinka - Serhii Cherevatyi

He said this on Espreso TV. 

“Today, the Avdiivka direction is one of the hottest sections of the front. Near the settlements of Avdiivka, Mariinka, and Soledar, the Russian enemy is constantly trying to attack our positions and break through the Ukrainian army's defenses. In particular, more than 185 shellings and 20 combat clashes with the Russian military were recorded in the Bakhmut direction per day,” Cherevatyi said.

The spokesman for the Eastern Group of Forces emphasized that the enemy is suffering losses in the Donetsk region.

“Over 122 shellings and 28 combat encounters with the enemy were recorded in the Avdiivka direction per day. That is why these directions are one of the most active areas of the front. However, the most important thing is that the enemy suffers heavy losses of personnel in these directions. The Russian troops don't manage to break through our defense near Soledar and Mariinka,” he added.

• On November 24, the invading Russian forces shelled 16 settlements in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka areas.
