Oleksandr Starukh, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, announced this.
He noted that the city was attacked with S-300 missiles. Residential buildings and infrastructure facilities were destroyed. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties. Three people were injured. The information is being clarified.
In one of the residential buildings, as a result of the enemy attack, according to Starukh, the gas system was damaged, a fire broke out, and the wall was destroyed. The relevant services are already working on site.
Russian occupiers also targeted a school in one of Zaporizhzhia's districts. The roof of the educational institution was damaged and the windows were broken.
"We would like to remind you that there may be parts of ammunition on the territory of the city. They are dangerous. You must not approach or touch them. In case of discovery, call the rescuers," Starukh emphasized.
Anatoliy Kurtev, secretary of the Zaporizhzhya City Council, reported the damage earlier.
He noted that residential buildings and city infrastructure were damaged as a result of the shelling. Details of the destruction and victims are being clarified.
