He said this on Espreso TV.

On January 21, the enemy tried to break through the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense and surround the town from the southeast, from the village of Mykilske. The Russian troops occupied the village of Dachne. The enemy also tried to break through the defense from the village of Pavlivka,” Verbovskyi noted.
According to him, the Russian enemy has been intensively shelling the town with all types of weapons for the past nine days.
“The enemy is shelling the city by artillery and aircraft. They are using Grad and TOS-1 systems. 100% of the buildings in the town are damaged, almost all infrastructure and utilities are destroyed. Since mid-March, the city has been without communications. There is no heating, water, or electricity as well. There are still 500 people in Vuhledar, hiding in basements,” Verbovskyi added.
