Russian forces shell Odesa region with Kalibr missiles, injuring one person
On the morning of November 17, Russian troops launched a missile attack on the infrastructure in the Odesa region
The Odesa City Council reports that the Russian forces have launched Kalibrs and air-launched missiles at the Odesa region.
“From the waters of the Black Sea, the Russian enemy launched Kalibrs, and with the use of tactical aircraft from 2 Su-30s, directed six air-launched missiles,” the message says.
It is also reported that a logistics facility and surrounding businesses in Odesa were damaged, and one victim is known. However, air-launched missiles were shot down by the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces over the Black Sea.
At 09:13, Maksym Marchenko, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported on enemy shelling of Odesa.
“The enemy launched a missile attack on an infrastructure facility in our region,” he wrote.
The head of the Regional Military Administration emphasized that there was a threat of a massive missile attack on the entire territory of Ukraine: “I ask the residents of the region to take shelter. We believe in Ukraine's Armed Forces and our air defense units!”
