Russian forces shell Lyman, killing 7 people, injuring 13 more
On the morning of July 8, invading Russian troops attacked Lyman in the Donetsk region, killing 7 people and injuring 13 more
This was reported by Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The death toll has risen to seven. It was also reported that 13 people were injured.
"Rescuers extinguished the fires in a private residential building, an extension to a printing house and 3 cars that resulted from the shelling," the statement said.
The Prosecutor General's Office clarified that the attack was carried out at 09:55 a.m. with a Smerch MLRS. They also added that the wounded included seven women and six men. Five cars were also damaged.
Earlier Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported this.
The invading Russian forces struck the town with multiple rocket launchers around 10 a.m. They hit the private sector. The shelling damaged a house and a shop.
Six people also were killed as a result of Russian attacks. Five were wounded.

On July 8, the roof of a boiler and turbine shop collapsed at a thermal power plant in the Donetsk region. One person was killed as a result of the accident, several are injured, two more are reported missing.
