Russian forces shell Kharkiv center, firing artillery only at civilian targets

Kharkiv mayor Igor Terekhov shared the news in his Telegram channel.

"Several heavy shellings in the area of ​​the center. So far, we know of one victim. I hope this number will not increase. The emergency services are already working," Terekhov wrote.

According to Oleg Synegubov, the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Russia struck the Osnovyansky district of Kharkiv.

"According to emergency medical services, there is one casualty, his condition is light. Previously, the occupiers fired from rocket launchers. A residential building, office premises were damaged. All specialized services are working on the spot and assessing the destruction caused by the occupiers," Synegubov wrote.

He asked the residents of the city to be extremely careful, because the Russian rocket systems can hit any place in Kharkiv.

Later, Synegubov added that Russian forces fired artillery at Kharkiv in the morning.

"Only civilian infrastructure was affected - a residential building, office premises, an educational institution - O.M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy. This is yet another Russian crime against the peaceful Kharkiv region," Sunegubov emphasized.

Synegubov added that throughout the region, during the day, Russian forces carried out strikes in the Kharkiv, Bogodukhiv, Chuguiv and Izyum districts.

Active shelling was again in Chuguyiv district. In the Zmiivska community, three pieces of ammunition hit an open area at once. In the same community, the occupiers destroyed 30 hectares of wheat. Farmers and locals extinguished the fire with their own hands.

In the Bogoduhiv district, private houses and commercial buildings were hit by the invaders, several fires broke out during the day. A 74-year-old woman was killed in the Zolochiv community, four people were injured.
