Russian forces shell Bakhmut, killing two women
On Wednesday, January 4, invading Russian forces shelled Bakhmut with artillery, killing two women, the police of the Donetsk region reports

Police noted that the shelling took place around 12:00 pm, and the projectile hit the road. Fragments of the projectile fatally wounded two women, and their identities are currently being established.
“The women were in an extremely dangerous area and did not have the strength to quickly hide from the shelling. Remaining under fire, people risk their lives every moment,” the police wrote.
Law enforcement officers emphasized the need for civilians to evacuate to safer places.

On January 3, invading Russian forces shelled the Donetsk region, hitting a residential building in Kurakhove. An industrial zone in Kostiantynivka and a historical building in Bakhmut came under fire.
