Russian forces pull most of their reserves to Bakhmut, but AFU advance
Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar says that the Russian troops have pulled most of their reserves to Bakhmut and reinforced the group, but the Ukraine's Armed Forces advanced
On Telegram, she wrote that all enemy attacks had been repelled, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces were in control of the southwestern part of Bakhmut.
According to her, the enemy also attacked the outskirts north of Bakhmut, and in some areas Ukrainian troops have advanced by 500 meters.
“Fierce fighting took place in the southern suburbs of Bakhmut throughout the day. The enemy went on the offensive and tried to regain the lost territories, but suffered losses and failed to accomplish their objectives. In some areas, our troops advanced by 1 km,” the report says.
The Deputy Defense Minister also noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are gaining time for “certain planned actions.”
