Russian forces pound Zaporizhzhia with missiles, damaging hotel electrical substation, killing one person and trapping others under rubble

Kyrylo Tymoshenko, Deputy Head of the Office of the President, reports in Telegram.

 "Nine missiles strikes in Zaporizhzhia and its suburbs. Russians launched a missile into a hotel in the central park. There is significant destruction, people remain under the rubble. Rescue workers are working on dismantling the rubble and freeing people," he said.

Russians also hit an electrical substation.  The southern communities of Zaporizhzhya district remained without electricity. In addition, the Russians set fire to the TV tower. Emergency services are trying to eliminate the consequences of the Russian attack as soon as possible.

 Oleksandr Starukh, the head of the Regional Military Administration, wrote in Telegram that Russians ransacked infrastructure facilities and destroyed houses around them.

 "According to preliminary information, one person is dead. Eternal memory and condolences to relatives and friends. Five people were injured. The information is being clarified. All services are working," he added.

 Earlier, Oleksandr Starukh, the head of Zaporizhzhya Regional Military Administration, reported on the Russian attack on the city in Telegram.
