Russian forces loot equipment, close medical institutions in Kherson region - AFU General Staff

Russian forces took all medical equipment from Kakhovka and Nova Kakhovka hospitals to Novotroitske, Kherson region. Russia is closing the institutions

This is stated in the evening report of the Ukrainian General Staff for January 29.

"The Russia forces authorities are closing medical institutions in these cities, contrary to earlier promises. The staff is faced with the fact of transfer or dismissal," the statement said. 

Ukrainian aviation has destroyed the Russian air defense system and carried out two strikes on Russia’s concentration areas

In turn, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's missile forces and artillery hit two Russian radar stations and an ammunition depot.

Russian forces fired 24 times from multiple missile launchers during the day, there are dead and injured

The Ukrainian General Staff said that Russia continues to conduct offensive actions at the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Vuhledar directions. In other areas, the defense is being carried out on previously occupied lines.

The situation near the state Ukrainian border with Belarus and Russia remains unchanged. Training of Russia’s units continues at training grounds in Belarus, and no Russian offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, the enemy doesn’t stop mortar and artillery shelling near two settlements in the Chernihiv region; one in Sumy region and twelwe in the Kharkiv region.

The situation in other areas is as follows:

Kupiansk direction: Russia fired from tanks, mortars, cannon and missile artillery in seven settlements of the Kharkiv region and two in the Luhansk region.

Lyman direction: Russia fired at the four settlements in the Luhansk region and two in the Donetsk region.

Bakhmut direction: seven settlements in the Donetsk region were attacked.

Avdiivka direction: five settlements of the Donetsk region came under Russian artillery fire.

Vuhledar direction: Russian forces fired at three settlements in the Donetsk region.

Zaporizhzhya direction: the areas around 14 localities were hit by Russia’s artillery fire. These include two settlements in the Donetsk region; six in the Zaporizhzhia region; and one in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Kherson direction: Russia fired artillery at the suburbs and the city of Kherson. There were civilian casualties.

On January 29, Russians shelled residential areas of Kherson with artillery, killing three people and injuring five others.
