Russian forces launch 8 airstrikes a day on Donetsk, Luhansk regional borders to repel Ukrainian Armed Forces
On August 2, Russian forces shelled the administrative border of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions with aircraft, mortars, and anti-aircraft missiles. Ukrainian Armed Forces repulsed 9 enemy assault attempts.
Head of Luhansk MilitaryAdministration, Serhii Gaidai, shared the news in his Telegram channel.
He emphasized that it is extremely dangerous to stay in houses damaged by the Russians. People live in surviving apartments or in porches and basements, but the damaged high-rises could collapse at any moment.
"It recently happened to a house on Partyzanska Street in Severodonetsk. The emergency building collapsed in the middle of the day. People were passing by. It is not known for certain whether anyone was inside. While the Russians continue to shoot propaganda stories about the "happy life" of the residents of Luhansk Oblast, the latter perish under the debris of unexamined high-rise buildings," he noted.
On the front line, Russian occupiers are attacking the cities and villages that are holding the defense. During August 2, they used rocket systems of volley fire 6 times, fired repeatedly from mortars. Russian forces are concentrating their main efforts on the Bakhmut direction. Russian invaders who cannot overcome the defense of Ukrainian Armed Forces use aviation increasingly. During August 2, they carried out airstrikes near 8 settlements on the administrative border of Luhansk region and Donetsk region.
"Russian forces want to restrain the actions of Ukrainian rmed Forces in order to prevent them from being diverted to other dangerous directions. That is why they are carrying out numerous attacks simultaneously from different sides. Over the last day, nine storm attempts from Russian occupiers, who were forced to retreat in the specified areas, were repelled," Serhiy Gaidai emphasized.
