Russian forces intensify activities in Lyman sector, pinning hopes on bad weather
The head of the public relations service of the 21st Detached Mechanized Brigade, Senior Lieutenant Serhiy Dibrov, said that the Russian troops are using the bad weather to intensify their offensive on the positions of the Ukrainian military in the Lyman sector
He told this on Espreso TV.
According to Dibrov, over the past two weeks, the occupying Russian forces have intensified their offensive in the Lyman sector.
"The enemy has brought in new units that have launched fierce assaults on our positions, which continue with varying intensity to this day. This morning there was another attempt to drive our fighters out of one position," emphasized the senior lieutenant.
The military explained that the Russian offensive follows approximately the same scenario.
"The Storm-Z unit or the one that the enemy does not really care about goes first, followed by more trained and professional fighters, sappers. And then they try to gain a foothold in some new positions. In turn, we repel them. Unfortunately, the weather has prompted the enemy to intensify its actions, hoping that it will be more difficult for us to defend and hold our positions in bad weather," Dibrov added.
