Russian forces hit Luhansk region with rockets, artillery, mortars, tanks in order to advance
On July 20, Russian forces have hit the Luhansk region twice with rockets, 4 times with artillery, 5 times with mortars, and also launched a tank offensive.
Luhansk regional military administration head Sergiy Gaidai shared the news in his Telegram channel.
According to him, the Russian shelling of the Luhansk region is very intense and almost never stops. In general, "apparently, there is not a single square meter of land left untouched by Russian artillery" in the region.
"On July 20, the settlements in which our guys are defending in the east were hit by two powerful rockets, four long artillery attacks, five mortar attacks, and are experiencing the consequences of the tank attack," Sergiy Gaidai emphasized.
Russian forces are trying to develop an offensive on Bakhmut, but the Ukrainian defenders repel the attacks. The regional head noted that in every, even a small, settlement, Russian forces are putting up decent resistance.
"The enemy uses its usual tactics of massed artillery fire, bomb attacks, uses all available types of weapons to advance. Russian forces organized several assault attempts from different sides from the Lysychansk district and the surrounding villages. The destructions in Verkhnyokamyanske added. From the air, they shelled Bilogorivka," he added.
