The British Defense Ministry shared the report.
"The ageing vehicles, weapons, and Soviet-era tactics used by Russian forces do not lend themselves to quickly regaining or building momentum unless used in overwhelming mass," the report notes.
Russian troops in Donbas continue shelling on a wide front and in some places resort to trial offensive maneuvers in small groups equal to companies and platoons.
At the same time, over the past 72 hours, Russian forces have not made any significant progress and risk "losing any momentum built up following the capture of Lysychansk."
Also, British intelligence added that despite recent grain export talks and a recent successful prisoner swap deal, the prospect of wider talks to end the war look unlikely.
