Russian forces have neither strategic nor tactical successes in Bakhmut direction
The situation near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region remains under control as the Russian forces have neither strategic nor tactical successes there
Andrii Illienko, an officer of the Freedom Battalion, said this on Espreso TV.
“The situation continues to be difficult. It is impossible to say that it is positive, but the main positive thing is that the Russian forces are unable to do anything. All their attempts to break through our defenses, capture or surround Bakhmut are unsuccessful,” he noted.
Illienko added that all units stationed here are engaged in heavy battles.
“All this comes at a great price. The Russians cannot advance, they have neither strategic nor tactical success. Everything that is capable of combat is sent today to Donbas and, above all, to the Bakhmut direction. The fighting is very fierce, the battles are extremely difficult. Despite all this, the situation is under control,” the military officer concluded.
