Russian forces evacuate people from Enerhodar, intense fighting continues in Donbas for Bakhmut and Marinka – General Staff

On May 6, Russian occupying forces started evacuating residents from Enerhodar in the Zaporizhzhia region, while intense fighting continues for Bakhmut and Marinka in the Donetsk region

Russians still attack Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. Intense battles are ongoing for the cities of Bakhmut and Marinka. Over the past day, Russians carried out about 50 attacks.

Ukrainian forces hit ten Russian manpower and equipment positions 

In the last 24 hours, the Defense Forces' aviation has launched seven strikes on enemy personnel and military equipment concentration areas, including an attack on the enemy's anti-aircraft missile complex. Ukrainian forces have also destroyed seven attack and eight reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Furthermore, missile forces and artillery units targeted the enemy's control post, three weapon and military equipment concentration areas, and an artillery unit in a firing position.

Russia carried out 6 missile attacks, 48 air strikes, and 77 MLRS attacks 

In the last 24 hours, the enemy launched six missile attacks on the cities of Chasiv Yar, Kostiantynivka, and Kherson. They also conducted 48 airstrikes and 77 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. These attacks resulted in the destruction and damage of private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure, causing casualties.

The likelihood of further missile and air strikes on Ukraine's entire territory remains high.

Russians are evacuating residents of Enerhodar to Berdyansk and Prymorsk

The Russian occupiers are forcibly evacuating local residents from the temporarily occupied Enerhodar in the Zaporizhzhia region to Berdyansk and Prymorsk, relocating them to local recreation centers. The evacuation only applies to individuals with Russian passports, with priority given to those who agreed to Russian citizenship during the initial months of the occupation.

Furthermore, the Russian occupiers continue to exploit the infrastructure of temporarily occupied settlements to provide medical assistance to their wounded servicemen. Recently, they established a field hospital in one of the villages in the Starobilsk district of the Luhansk region, treating up to 70 people.

Situation in different directions 

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, the Russian Federation continued shelling the entire line of contact: 5 settlements in the Chernihiv region, 5 more in the Sumy region, as well as 11 villages in the Kharkiv region were attacked. Airstrikes were launched at three settlements in the Chernihiv region.

Shelling of Ukrainian regions

In the Kupyansk direction, 9 settlements in the Kharkiv region came under artillery shelling.  The enemy also conducted an unsuccessful offensive near one settlement. 

In the Lyman direction, 4 settlements in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions were subjected to enemy artillery shelling. The enemy carried out offensive actions in the direction of Bilohorivka and Spirne, without success. 

In the Bakhmut direction, fighting continues for the fortress city. 13 localities in the Donetsk region were attacked by the invading Russian forces. The enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in 4 areas. 

In the Avdiivka direction, 6 settlements of the Donetsk region came under enemy fire. 

In the Marinka direction, 2 villages in the Donetsk region were shelled. Units of the defense forces repelled numerous enemy attacks in the area of Marinka.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, 4 settlements of the Donetsk region were attacked. 

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, more than 20 cities and villages were subjected to numerous Russian attacks. Russians are still on the defensive.
