Russian forces ‘evacuate’ about 300 residents of occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region in 3 days

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shared the information in a morning report on May 11.

The General Staff noted that over the past 3 days, the Russian occupation administration has "evacuated" about 300 local residents from the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region to Berdiansk.

There are children among the “evacuated” citizens.

Ukrainian Armed Forces repel 39 attacks and defeat 2 Russian artillery units at a firing position

Russian troops launch attacks in Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 39 attacks there.

The fiercest fighting continues for the towns of Bakhmut and Marinka.

In addition, the aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched 4 strikes on concentrations of Russian personnel and military equipment over the past day. 

Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 5 Russian UAVs of various types. 

Ukrainian missile troops and artillery units struck 1 anti-aircraft missile system, 2 manpower concentrations, 1 fuel and lubricants depot, 2 artillery units at firing positions, and an electronic warfare station.

Russian troops launched 45 air strikes and 53 MLRS attacks on Ukraine over the past day

Over the past day, Russian troops launched one S-300 missile at the civilian infrastructure of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region. 

In addition, they launched 45 air strikes and 53 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements in the Kherson region. Civilians were injured, private houses and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

The threat of further missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains high, as Russia continues to use terror tactics.

Situation in other directions is as follows

On the northern border with Belarus, no signs of formation of offensive groups were detected. 

Certain units of the Russian Armed Forces are still deployed at the training grounds of Belarus.

On the northeastern border with Russia, Russian troops fired mortars and artillery at 3 settlements in the Chernihiv region, 8 in the Sumy region, and 5 more in the Kharkiv region.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian army did not launch any assaults. However, it launched air strikes near 3 settlements. 

Nine settlements in the Kharkiv region and one in the Luhansk region came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces launched unsuccessful offensives near  Serebryanske forestry. 

They launched air strikes near 3 settlements and shelled 3 more settlements in the Luhansk region and 3 others in the Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops launched unsuccessful offensives in the city of Bakhmut. They also launched air strikes near 5 settlements. 

Eight settlements in the Donetsk region suffered from shelling.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops launched unsuccessful offensives near Avdiivka. They air-striked 2 settlements. 

They also fired at 4 settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled numerous Russian attacks near the town of Marinka. 

At the same time, 2 settlements in the Donetsk region came under Russian fire.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian troops launched assaults near Novomykhailivka during the night, but were unsuccessful. 

They launched  air strikes near Prechystivka and Novosilka, fired at 4 more settlements.

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops are on the defensive.

They launched air strikes near 5 settlements. 

They also shelled 2 settlements in the Donetsk region, 6 in the Zaporizhzhia region, 2 in the Dnipropetrovsk region, 10 in the Kherson region and the city of Kherson.

• Earlier people, "evacuated" by Russians from the frontline towns of Zaporizhzhia region, were reported to be banned from returning home.
