Russian forces engage aviation against AFU in eastern Ukraine, continue to attack despite significant losses - General Staff

Despite significant losses, the Russian army has not abandoned its intentions to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this on February 10.

In particular, it is noted that the Russian Federation launched more than 100 missiles during another massive attack on Ukraine. 

“According to preliminary information, the enemy used 29 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles and 71 air- and sea-launched cruise missiles. 61 cruise missiles were destroyed by our defenders. In addition, the Russian invaders launched 12 air strikes, 2 of which were carried out using Shahed-136 UAVs,” the report says. 

The General Staff notes that the enemy, despite significant losses, does not abandon its intentions to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Invading Russian forces continue to focus their main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Vuhledar directions, actively using aviation to strike at the Ukrainian troops' positions

The Russian Federation continued shelling the entire line of contact: one settlement in the Chernihiv region, 5 more settlements in the Sumy region, as well as 4 villages in the Kharkiv region were attacked. 

In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the enemy fired mortar and artillery near 9 settlements. 

In the Bakhmut direction, 13 settlements of the Donetsk region were subjected to tank, mortar and artillery shelling. 

In the Avdiivka and Vuhledar directions, 11 settlements of the Donetsk region came under tank, mortar and artillery fire.

In the Zaporizhzhia directions, the areas of 7 settlements were hit. 

In the Kherson direction, two settlements, including Kherson itself, were attacked. 

Russian operators to cut off mobile Internet to users in the temporarily occupied Donetsk and Luhansk regions

In order to restrict access to information of Ukrainian citizens in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, mobile operators Phoenix and MKS have been disconnecting mobile Internet to their users since February 11.

Moreover, in the village of Zaliznyi Port, Kherson region, the invading Russian forces are trying to issue passports to the local population.

“For this purpose, the passport office was moved to the village from the village of Hola Prystan. Given the fact that there is no queue of people wishing to obtain Russian citizenship, the occupiers promise a financial reward to those who agree,” the post reads.

The Defense Forces' aviation launched 12 strikes on Russian military positions, as well as 2 strikes on the positions of anti-aircraft missile systems.

“Missile and artillery units hit 2 areas of manpower concentration, a munitions depot, an anti-aircraft missile system position and 2 other important enemy targets,” the report says.
